Objective: Understand what all you need to compose a scene in Unity.

To begin composing your cutscene we need to begin with creating a virtual camera.

Virtual camera is a camera that will be used by the main camera to compose your shot.

To create a virtual camera select Cinemachine > Create virtual camera.

Now we need to align our shot. What is displayed in the game view is the virtual camera view. There are two ways you can use the scene view to set the virtual view.

First, select the virtual camera then select GameObject > Align with view.

Second, select the virtual camera and press CTRL + Shift + N.

If you have multiple virtual cameras you can choose the default camera that is displayed you can set the priority in inspector. The camera with the higher priority is the default camera.

If you would like to switch to the view of a none default camera you can select solo and this will give you the view of the selected virtual camera.

With your virtual cameras set your scene is ready to be animated with the Timeline. Don’t be afraid to experiment with your shots and I’ll see you in the next tutorial!
