Slick Orbital Camera Movements using Free Look Cameras!
Objective: Understanding the functionality of a Free Look Camera!
Now it’s time to dive into these other cameras and learn what they do. Keep in mind that these other cameras are basically virtual cameras with elements stacked in them that make them a little more useful or quicker to adjust. But ultimately, they are virtual cameras.
The first camera we are going to look at is the free look camera. You need to make sure you are following your object we well as looking at your object.
The free look camera is a lot like the orbital camera. You can see the body is using the orbital transposer.
What does it do? If we press play on the editor, This is a free look camera the does what the orbital does but it is sitting on 3 rings.
How do we adjust the rings? They are labeled top middle and bottom.
We can adjust the size of the three rings so when we are moving up and down the radius, it is the correct size and give us the exact range that we need. Lower the radius to bring the rings in close and raise the radius to extend the rings out.
Now you have all you need to take your orbital camera to the next level using Free Look Cameras. Don’t be afraid to experiment with your cameras and I’ll see you in the next tutorial!
