The Exciting World of 3D Environments and Lighting!
Objective: Show some examples of lighting and environment setting of 3D.
We are entering the world of 3D environments. with this new venture we have access to new settings and we will be taking a bigger focus on materials. In this tutorial I’m going to cover a few features you will need to know to make your 3D environments stand out.
Albedo Channel. Albedo Channel deals with (RGB) and transparence of any given object. It is located under the Material tab on the inspector.
You can use this to quickly select the color of an object. If you click the circle button located directly to the left of albedo you will bring of a selection of textures you have available.
Sub Meshes. Sub Meshes are elements under the mesh renderer that divide the object unto multiple sections.
This allows you to attach multiple textures/materials to a single object.
Becoming comfortable with using these your environments will look that much more polished. As I always say with code, don’t be afraid to play with these features and familiarize yourself with these features. I’ll see you in the next tutorial!
